It's that time of week again! Here's my posting for Ginny's Yarn Along:
An FO!!! I just finished this up this afternoon. It's my very first pattern and I'm quite pleased with it! I'll have some tweaking to do on the decreases before I'm completely satisfied but for my first attempt, I'm happy :) It's a gift for a young man at our church who works with me on Sundays serving our 1st to 5th graders. I promised him I'd have it done before Spring so he can wear it and I think I've done OK on that - LOL! The book is an anthology of the first three scrap-booking mysteries by Laura Childs. I've finished Keepsake Crimes and just started Photo Finished. I'm really enjoying myself!
Over a foot from this storm :( |
Wild man's tunnel! He was having so much fun! |
As you can see from the above photos, we've had quite a lot of snow in the last few weeks! We've had over a foot today and there's more due in tonight plus another storm coming in Saturday. *Sigh* I've had quite enough! Poor wild man keeps asking me when summer is coming. I think we're all all a little sick of it! This storm spread across 30 states and affected 100 million people. That's just insane! My relatives in FL are laughing their butts off!
My next project will be the Tiger Lily Cowl by Christina Wilkins off Ravelry. Can't wait! I bought this beautiful yarn this past weekend and it is 70% baby alpaca and 30% merino wool and is so soft it was begging to be made into something I would wear close the to skin :) So after a little research on Ravelry, I love this site, I found this pattern and fell in love with it! I think it will show off the natural undyed yarn beautifully. So I'll be casting on tonight!
Doesn't this just beg to be squeezed?? It's so SOFT! |
Stay safe and warm and as always, happy knitting!!!

*Note: the yarn is Cascade Eco Duo in Natural #1705 100 gr 197 yds - Thanks!
